Welcome to our History Section for Year 4

These resources help children in year 4 develop their understanding of history. We are proud to have worked with Professor David Olusoga and Dr Yinka Olusoga to create resources to support Black British History. Our further “historical stories” resources provide narratives on significant events, which can support teaching these topics.

NB. Before you start the Uncovering Black British History lessons, please read the important teacher’s notes in the Introduction lesson (1). There are some useful guidance notes which are particularly relevant to teaching this content to younger KS2 students.
