Welcome to the Sukkot section on iChild!

This Jewish Festival is on 16th October 2024 and 6th October 2025.

Sukkot is also known as the Feast of Tabernacles, or the Feast of Booths. The word ‘Sukkot’ means huts, and Jewish families build an open air structure in which to live during the holiday. This is to remind the family of the time their ancestors lived in the desert in temporary homes after the Exodus. Sukkot begins at sunset on the previous day.
