Canada Day
Welcome to our Canada Day section on iChild!
Canada Day marks the uniting of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and the Province of Canada into the single nation of Canada, in 1867. It was originally called Dominion Day, and was re-named Canada Day in 1982. Canada Day is celebrated on 1st July.
The maple leaf is Canada's national symbol - and delicious maple syrup comes from the sap of the maple tree! We have created fun activities for children to join in the Canada Day celebrations.
