GoldPoetry: Robin Hood, 'Into the Woods'
This resource has been produced in collaboration with the National Association for the Teaching of English (NATE). The Teaching Sequence for Writing is still the recommended approach to the teaching of reading and writing. Children learn the pleasure of listening to a poem based on the legend of Robin Hood, they will enjoy the performance of poems, and are introduced to diamante poems. They will identify how language, structure and presentation contribute to meaning. The unit ends with children creating their own poem.
This resource can be easily adapted to the needs of your class, and can cover several lessons. It comprises: a PDF file, which indexes the accompanying PowerPoint, Word document worksheets, and the PowerPoint presentation (the main body of the resource).
