Children will then analyse how the author has created responses, ‘reading as a writer’. There are a series of exercises, which will lead to children having a go at their own creating writing.
This resource can be easily adapted to the needs of your class, and can cover several lessons. It comprises of: a PDF file, which indexes the accompanying PowerPoint and provides accompanying worksheets; the PowerPoint presentation (the main body of the resource); and a Word document, featuring a simple worksheet and printable copies of the abridged Treasure Island chapters.
