Gold9: The Windrush and Afterwards
This Windrush and Afterwards teaching resource is part of a series of Black British History lessons written by Professor David Olusoga and his sister Dr Yinka Olusoga. At the end of World War Two, Black people from the British Commonwealth started moving to Britain in large numbers to fill job vacancies. We look at the impact of the arrival of the Empire Windrush in 1948. We also look at how Black people have contributed to British culture in the 20th and 21st centuries.
